Hi, I live in Hambleton and I have a 1955 Chevrolet Belair Street Rod with a modern V8 motor, 12 volts. I am having a problem with my electric fan, The dashboard temp gauge works from the bolt in sender on the motor, I have wired up the new auto electric fan and it says to attach a wire to the same motor sender, when I do this the dash gauge stops working? its got me stumped. plus, somewhere on the car is a drain from the battery, can this be located and fixed? I have fitted a second sender into the top hose of the radiator but this doesn’t seem to make the gauge work or the fan when wired separately, its doing my head in, can you help, The car is in a large garage and no problem with lights and dry, hope you can help.
